Post 9 - luggage and other things
Luggage Review
This past two weeks I had the exciting opportunity to do a luggage review after, unfortunately, my trusted Amazon Basics carry-on backpack broke after five years of use.
You all will remember that I am a fan of BEIS Expandable Backpack in black. I do not think it is extraordinary, but I am a fan of its intention to be designed for budget airway flights. It is not minimal, but has fewer gizmos than other backpacks, which is great. Recommend.
The real test was the Monos Carry-On Pro in olive green. I was very excited about this, but my feelings were mixed. This was my first "fancy" luggage and hard-case one. I do think that it is beautiful and very intentionally designed and I like that it fits every major carry-on bin. However, I was disappointed in a few aspects 1) a hard top is less flexible than my previous carry-on backpack so I couldn't stuff as many things 2) it got so full that the handle didn't fully extend 3) it got scuffed. I don't care too much about scuffing, but it hurts when the color is pretty and on top of the previous feedback 4) finally, my previous luggage was on my back so I could run with it, which I can't now.

I do admit that this could be resolved with better packing and organization. Not sure if I'll return this, swap it for a larger size, or just keep it and buy another bag close to my previous one.
List of good plane movies:
Crazy Rich Asians
Oceans 11-13
Harry Potter, Marvel
Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, the Man From UNCLE)
Men in Black
Kingsman
In summary, rom-coms and action comedies in the light-hearted and colorful style.
Recent quotes I've been told:
"Allah swt knew what He was doing by making him short".
"I used to intentionally exclude you and your brother from hanging out with the other cousins when we were little".
Speaking of Crazy Rich Asians, I recently listened to the audiobooks of the series and it was absolutely delightful. It was like listening to the movies. Highly recommend reading the books on a flight or for your night reading or listening to them.
Hope you're well,
Ibrahim
P.S. Thank you for your patience since the last post. I received countless messages from you all checking in to see if I was alright. I was, aH, I just only write these when I'm bored.
